My name is Kim Nyhous. I am an Energy Healer and Intuitive. I founded Kim Nyhous Energy to help people feel more ease and peace in their bodies and more expansion, creativity and joy in their lives. All the energy modalities I practice are tools to help individuals move stuck energy, emotion and trauma out of their bodies and shift towards greater connection with themselves, humanity and the energy that animates worlds.
My Story
From the time I was small, I was a natural performer, acting in school and community plays into my teens. By the time I was in my 20s, I performed consistently in the Seattle fringe theater scene, gravitating towards musicals and comedies. I lived to be on stage and make people laugh!
It was around that time that I began to seek out alternative approaches to healing my body and soul. I sought out all the good old standby’s – crystals, herbs, therapy – and I had my first experiences with energy healing. Over time, I became fascinated by other alternative and energetic healing practices and followed them to my own healing.
After a decade of performing in Seattle, I transformed my live performance skills into a 20-year career producing documentary film and television, with the idea to use storytelling to help make the world a better place to live. I produced films on the ocean, elephants, music and dance.
While my career trajectory started arcing towards improving the world, I turned towards energetic healing modalities to improve my inner world. I began to study these modalities, eventually becoming a Reiki Master, an Akashic Records Reader, an Elemental Embodiment Facilitator, a Spiritual/Energetic Coach & Guide, and a teacher.
An energetic journey
For as long as I could remember, I had this terrible feeling of loneliness and separation coupled with physical challenges. The discomfort of living in my body – physically and emotionally – drove me to seek out ways to feel better. This search led me to healthy habits like: Acupuncture, Network Chiropractic, Reiki and specialized eating plans. But some of the journey looked like classic escapism: alcohol, food, codependence, other people.

In 2019, I was at an extraordinary low point in my life – trying to stay positive, trying to rescue everyone around me, trying to achieve at work. I was a shell of myself – there was no me in the center of my world anymore. The stress was soul crushing, and I had a life changing moment when a thought dropped in clearly: “I am going to die.” Not someday, but soon.
I knew if I didn’t radically change my life in that moment, the future would be a terrible level of bleakness. And a powerful voice rose up in me and said “I WANT TO LIVE”.
Once that voice spoke, I took steps to support living. I dedicated extraordinary time, energy and resources toward healing. That initial push worked. The universe met me with new levels of wellness, joy and helpful people.
It also meant that many things had to change. During Covid I lost my job and got a divorce. And I embarked on new levels of the journey. I think I cried for 2 years straight!
In 2021, I had a spiritual awakening and finally understood that I was on the planet for a purpose – to help humanity heal. But what would that look like? I had been studying Reiki since 2014 as a hobby – sharing it with friends and their animals but primarily practicing on myself.

In 2023, a friend approached me and asked if they could see me consistently for Reiki sessions – and my healing career officially began! I slowly rolled my services out to my closest friends, then my acquaintances, and then their friends, and now with YOU.
Over time, my clientele grew as did my skillset and offerings. I began reading the Akashic Records (and feel they found me, telling me to start reading). I loved the energy of the Records and the truth that was shared from that space. I began guiding/coaching people from an energetic and spiritual perspective. And I was in the first class of graduates to become certified to facilitate a powerful trauma reduction embodiment practice called Elemental Embodiment.
I invested over $100,000 on my healing journey over those 6 years. And at the end of 2024, that same voice inside me asked “What would it look like if you were all in on your healing business?” Six weeks later I had my answer and Kim Nyhous Energy was born!
